How to Register.

In-Person Voter Registration

Registration for the May 4th election closed on April 14. You may visit the Town Clerk's office, located in Brookline Town Hall and complete a voter registration form in person.

By-Mail Voter Registration

Registration for the May 4th election closed on April 14. You may obtain a mail-in voter registration form from:

  • Brookline Public Main Library as well as the branch libraries

  • United States Post Offices

  • Various other locations throughout the state

Mail-in forms may also be obtained by calling the State Elections Division at 800-462-VOTE or by calling the Office of the Town Clerk at 617-730-2010. In addition, the State Registry of Motor Vehicles, various social service agencies, and military recruitment offices provide voter registration services.

You may also complete and download a mail-in voter registration form from the Secretary of State's Webpage.

Online Voter Registration

Registration for the May 4th election closed on April 14. If you have a Massachusetts drivers license you may Register to vote online.

Please note: Residents of Precinct 15 who choose to vote on election day should note that their polling place has changed. The polling place has changed from Baker School to the rear of Fire Station 6, 962 Hammond St.

The polls are open in Brookline on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. all elections and primaries.


How to Vote.

Early Voting

Early voting will at Town Hall, 333 Washington St., Room 103 on three dates later this month: 

  • Saturday, April 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Tuesday, April 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Registered voters who would like to take part in early voting simply need to visit Town Hall during these hours to request a ballot.

Absentee Voting

Voters who are unable to vote on Election Day may vote by absentee ballot because of:

  • Absence from the town while the polls are open

  • Physical disability

  • Religious belief

  • COVID-19

The polls are open on May 4th from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m..
